NEW CARS WITHOUT STEERING LOCKS.....ASF
LIBERATES THE AUTOMOBILE!
General Motors and Chrysler Corporation are well underway
replacing steering locks with safe, effective, and modern
auto theft prevention technology that has become the industry
standard. Most auto makers have at least one model in production
with the new "Immobilizer" system. Keyless technology is now
in production replacing key operated locks with modern keyless
systems for both home and automobile. The NHTSA has stated
that Immobilizer steering lock replacement is "modern theft
prevention technology" that constitutes "technological advances."
ASF recommends that drivers only purchase automobiles that
do not have steering locks! [Read

UNITED
STATES DMV PRINT ASF WARNING!
Steering lock education prevents accidents and can help prevent
auto theft. DMV offices nationwide are printing the ASF steering
lock materials. This ASF lifesaving and auto theft prevention
information is must reading for all drivers.

Standard
equipment side view mirrors are unsafe. These mirrors have
a hazardous blind area that conceals quickly approaching or
nearby vehicles, causing lane changing endangerment.
All drivers need to obtain safe mirror attachments.

ASF backs the European Union's new regulations for safe side

internationally.

ASF
has petitioned the United States Congress
for legislation to address the unsafe mirror
crises, by issuing safe mirror attachments for all vehicles
including all government vehicles. Additionally, regulations
are needed that would require all automobile companies to
take remedial action on the production of side-view mirrors,
and begin the manufacture of safe side-view mirrors as standard
equipment, or replace unsafe mirrors with new technologies.

| CELL PHONES AND DISTRESS SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES |
Driving
while holding a cell phone is dangerous. ASF recommends that
the auto industry establish a universal cell phone system
that allows for remote connection
or generic jacks within the vehicle, enabling hands free calling
and voice activated dialing through interior speakers. This
new system would accommodate all makes of cell phones, and
could utilize the BlueTooth
technology now in production.
ASF also recommends that the auto manufacturers equip vehicles
with new distress system technology that facilitates 911 phone
calls, or sends out a radar distress signal alerting the authorities
of a roadside emergency and its location, such as OnStar,
a service now available on some newer American automobiles.
Curtailing
dependence on oil, and switching to alternative renewable
fuels is crucial to the survival of the planet. Both Ford
and GM have alternative fuel vehicles in production. ASF encourages
the production of alternative fuel vehicles as well as the
cooperation of the oil companies to make the necessary conversion;
to produce, distribute, and vend these new fuels at all filling
stations.
ASF seeks to deploy an alternative fuel division to research
and develop alternatives to petroleum products. Additionally,
due to the great multitude of gasoline operated vehicles extant,
ASF seeks to explore the potentials of aftermarket products
that modify the molecular structure of gasoline, and or, engine
modifications that can radically increase gas mileage and
vehicle performance. ASF invites the participation of concerned
parties with innovative technologies, and requests that they
contact ASF. [More

| AIR BAGS & SHOCK ABSORBING SEATS |
ASF endorses air bag
bumpers, invented by Carl Clark (NHTSA). These air bags are
contained in the front and rear bumpers and inflate before
impact with the car body. (see example). Air bag bumpers could
be standard equipment, or perhaps be introduced as an after-market
product. Air bag bumpers can also be used on trucks and buses.

Automobiles should be equipped with shock absorbing seats.
Seats instead of being rigidly secured, could be designed
with shock absorbers, and or, also have inflationary capabilities
that can dramatically reduce crash inertia upon impact.
